Know what your skin is getting.
One verdict for every product, a routine checked as a whole, and reminders that follow the sun.
Piel is a skincare companion app. Search any product by name, or add one yourself with its ingredient list, and Piel checks it against your personal skin profile — telling you what suits your skin, what to patch-test first, and what to skip, and always explaining why.
Ingredient data comes from public sources, the European Commission's CosIng database and Open Beauty Facts, and a curated, reviewed knowledge base. Piel is not medical advice, sells no products and carries no affiliate links. Available in English and Spanish.
Meet the Halo verdict, one line that tells you how a product suits your skin — before it touches your face.
Everything your skin routine was missing.
Read the label for you
Piel reads every ingredient on the list and tells you how much scientific evidence stands behind each one.
Your routine, checked as a whole
Piel tells you which products shouldn't be used together, and helps you plan what goes in the morning, what at night, and what on alternate nights.
Reapply when the sun says so
Based on the UV index where you are, Piel tells you how often to reapply your sunscreen — every 2 hours under moderate UV, for example.
Ask, and get the why
An assistant you can ask about your products — whether two can be used together, for example. It answers in plain language and tells you where each answer comes from.
See how your skin is moving
Take a photo of your face every so often, always from the same angle and in the same light: Piel shows your previous photo as a guide so you frame it the same way, and warns you if the light came out different.
Six plain answers about how Piel works.
Is Piel medical advice?
No. Piel explains ingredients and routines; it does not diagnose or treat. See a dermatologist for anything that worries you.
Where does the ingredient data come from?
Public ingredient databases and a curated, reviewed knowledge base; every claim is reviewed before it goes live.
Does Piel sell products?
No. No shop and no affiliate links — the verdict has nothing to sell you.
Are my photos and log private?
Yes. They are yours; you can delete everything from inside the app.
Why does the assistant sometimes say "ask a dermatologist"?
Because some questions need a person who can look at your skin.
