These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Piel mobile apps, our website at mypiel.app, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by Kan Consult s. r. o., a company registered in Slovakia (IČO 57 860 157), with its registered seat at Štefana Hozu 1577/21, 053 11 Smižany, Slovakia, which operates Piel ("Piel", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
Piel provides general, informational guidance about cosmetic and skincare products based on publicly available ingredient data and the profile you provide. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for consultation with a qualified dermatologist or healthcare professional. Always perform a patch test and consult a professional for medical concerns, allergies, or before making decisions about your health. Ingredient data may be incomplete or inaccurate, and product formulations can change.
Piel is free to download and free to use. Piel Premium is an optional paid plan that supports Piel's development. Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription, and in some regions as a one-time purchase:
Prices are shown in your local currency inside the app before you confirm any purchase, and may vary by country or region. The prices above are the current United States prices and are provided as examples; the price presented at the moment of purchase is the one that applies. We may change prices, and where the law requires it we will give you notice and the chance to cancel before a change takes effect.
Billing and renewal. Payment is charged, at confirmation of purchase, to the account you use with the store you bought through — your Apple Account on the App Store, or your Google Account on Google Play. An auto-renewing subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. That same account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, at any time in your store account settings — under Subscriptions in your device's App Store settings, or under Payments and subscriptions in the Google Play app. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and Premium stays available until that period expires. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Free trials and introductory offers. Where we offer a free trial or introductory price, it is available only to eligible new subscribers, once per subscription group, and the store you buy through determines eligibility. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription at the standard price. If you buy a subscription while a free trial is still running, you forfeit the unused portion of that trial.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by the store you bought through, and refund requests are handled by that store under its own policies — we cannot issue refunds for store purchases directly. For App Store purchases you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play purchases, at Google Play's refund request page. Except where the law gives you a right to a refund, payments are otherwise non-refundable.
You retain ownership of the information you submit, such as your skin profile and logs. You grant us a limited license to use this information solely to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
The Service, including its scoring logic, design, and branding, is owned by Piel and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks or content except as necessary to use the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Piel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or its users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
