Getting started

Piel checks skincare products against your own skin profile. Create an account, answer a short set of questions about your skin, then search for a product to get its Halo — a plain verdict on whether it suits you. Add what you own to your shelf and Piel will check your whole routine together, not just one product at a time.

Piel is an informational tool and does not provide medical advice. For skin conditions or reactions, please consult a qualified professional.

Account and sign-in

• You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and password. If you cannot sign in, first make sure you are using the same method you originally signed up with.
• Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen to get a reset link.
• You can edit your skin type, concerns, goals, and sensitivities at any time from the You tab. Verdicts update automatically when your profile changes.

Piel Premium subscriptions

Piel is free to download and free to use. Piel Premium is an optional paid plan, available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The exact price in your local currency is always shown in the app before you confirm anything.

• To manage or cancel: open the Settings app on your device, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Piel. Cancelling stops future renewals; Premium stays available until the period you already paid for ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• To restore a purchase on a new device, sign in with the same Apple Account and use the Restore option on the Piel Premium screen.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Location and the UV index

Piel can show the current UV index for where you are, to tailor its sun-protection advice. This uses your approximate location only while the app is open — never in the background — and you can decline or revoke it at any time in your device settings. The rest of the app works normally without it.

Language

Piel is available in English and Spanish. You can switch language in the app from the You tab, or in your device settings under Piel → Language.

Your data and deleting your account

You can delete your account and its personal data from inside the app, on the You tab under account settings. You can also request deletion via our account deletion page or by emailing support@mypiel.app. See our Privacy Policy for what we collect and how long we keep it.

Note that deleting your Piel account does not cancel an active App Store subscription — cancel that separately in your device's subscription settings.

Reporting a problem with product data

Ingredient lists can be incomplete or out of date, and manufacturers reformulate products. If a product's ingredients or verdict look wrong, email us the product name and brand at support@mypiel.app and we will correct it.
