You can delete your Piel account, and the personal data attached to it, at any time. There are two ways to do it — from inside the app, or by writing to us. You do not need an active subscription, and you do not need to explain why.
This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.
If you have lost access to your device or can no longer sign in, email us from the address on your Piel account and ask us to delete it. A person will action it and confirm to you. We aim to reply within two business days and to complete deletion within 30 days of a verified request.
Please write from the email address on the account, so we can be sure the request is yours. If you signed in with Google or Apple, use the address that sign-in gave us.
Piel assistant conversations are not stored, so there is nothing to delete — the exception is an answer you chose to report to us, which we keep in order to review it. Payments are handled by Google Play or the App Store and we never receive your card details, so there are none for us to hold.
We keep the minimum needed to meet legal and accounting obligations — for example a record that a subscription existed, without your profile attached to it — and anonymous, aggregated counts that cannot be traced back to you. Crash and diagnostic reports are not linked to your account and age out on their own. Everything else is deleted or irreversibly de-identified within 30 days.
Deleting your Piel account does not cancel a subscription, because we do not control the billing — the store does. Cancel it under Subscriptions in the Google Play app, or in your device's App Store settings, before or after deleting your account.
